Our Mission

Art2Heart and Art2Aid share a common mission: to make the arts accessible and joyful for everyone. Whether it's reintroducing art therapy in senior homes or providing children with opportunities to explore their creativity, our goal is to ensure that art becomes a universal avenue for learning, exploration, and personal growth.

Art2Heart is a non-profit and youth-led organization that strives to encourage youth to express themselves through the arts by holding local workshops, public art events, and creating new opportunities. We welcome all youth who are interested in the arts, giving back to their community, and making a change.

Coming up to 25 events in the past year, we host workshops free-of-cost for everyone in the community from painting workshops to community murals. We allow talented youth to act as mentors in our events and we provide all materials required; thus, upholding our pillar of accessibility.

Our Pillars

Engagement

Engagement is the cornerstone of the Art2heart Foundation. All of our events are free and inclusive events for all individuals to enjoy. This upholds our mandate in that art should remain accessible to everyone. By providing materials for our events, our events are wholly engaging for all participants.

Community

We value the support of our community in our projects and prioritize giving back. We have held several community art projects, like our Fence Art Initiative. Using fluorescent tape, we’ve written out the words “inspire” and “think and discover” across the fences of elementary schools in the Tri-Cities. Our mannequin project, “I’m Perfect,” combined the importance of beauty and acceptance through artistic expression and received widespread support from our community.

Opportunity

Our foundational pillar. In the last three years, the Art2Heart Foundation has provided countless opportunities such as our ambassador program, Artist of the Month showcase, and art galleries sponsored by the City of Surrey. We emphasize engagement with our community through opportunity by allowing youth mentors to lead workshops and honing their leadership and teaching skills.
